[Hairstyle Meme! [Bonus Text #2]]

To comment on your notes. I think what makes your art so powerful is the fact that you are uncompromised when it comes to your topics. You don’t hold back when it comes to displaying your truth through your artwork (as far as I can tell). You’ve also done a good job at clearly explaining yourself. It’s obvious to anyone who’s really looking that you are not glorifying or uplifting any nasty topics or people.

At the end of the day there will be people who won’t get it, that might scold you, or try to deny you of what you want to say in your comics because it might be offensive in someway. Unfortunate, but it might take them time, or they might just never understand. But that’ll never be your fault.

For a while, I didn’t understand myself - your pieces shocked me to a point where I didn’t know how to interact with them. But to communicate the way you have been with your comics and artwork, unflinching with your topics and commentary is what makes your art so powerful. It’s what kept drawing me in for more despite my discomfort.

Your art means something and it’s not afraid to say it. I say, stay strong and proud of your work.

Anyways. I like the hairstyles. : )

Thank you. I just feel nervous at times because of the topics being dealt with, I have a huge responsibility to convey it correctly. I am sensitive, but sometimes when you are exposed to horrible actions around you, you get used to it. I forget, something that looks appalling to someone else can be average to me. But that motivates me even more to work through this comic, to remind of the appalling things and have them seen as rightfully disgusting.

I feel a bit more reassured now, with your words and everyone else's. I hope to not disappoint in the future. But I also hope if I do, that people will be patient enough to notify me first to adjust my mistake.

Thank you again, I will keep message in mind. And thank you about the hairstyles, that was fun.

[At-tan vs the Art World]

This set caught me off guard. With the prior set involving At-tan and Doctor being a much different pace, I was growing accustomed to a more narrative style.

These were a shocking reminder of the heart of these comics. This is brutal. My heart breaks for At-tan.

The farther from Doctor, the worse it is. Some sets like this, I need to psych myself up and do them all at once. Yes, it's like original style, I'm sorry, I know it's uncomfortable. But I think, I guess the world we live in is very uncomfortable & I've never been great at escapism art. It's difficult to separate, or not take something so personally. But I think of the people that can't escape their reality and it helps me stay focused.

Thank you for saying so. I know you in particular held off in approaching, but it gave me faith you stayed to engage a little more, considering the topic. I've seriously respected you for that. If it ever gets to a point one doesn't want to read At-tan anymore, I respect that, too.

Sorry for long comment again and for singling you out. I'd just like to give general messages of appreciation to others. Maybe some might think, "handofdog is crazy & wants men dead" but that is not the case. Please don't feel you must walk on eggshells. Take care, have a good day.
